The Science of SwingFix
PhD-level biomechanical golf swing diagnostics and Tour-caliber training drills powered by advanced multimodal AI reasoning.
Our Mission
At SwingFix AI, we believe every golfer deserves access to world-class coaching. Traditional golf instruction is either prohibitively expensive or generic. By combining state-of-the-art computer vision with expert PGA coaching wisdom, we provide instant, personalized, and scientifically accurate biomechanical assessments at a fraction of the cost of a single in-person lesson.
How the Tech Works
Pose Estimation
We extract 3D skeleton keypoints directly from standard 2D smartphone videos, tracking joints, angles, and key golf milestones in real-time.
Multimodal AI Reasoning
Our models combine spatial coordinate joint tracking, temporal speed curves, and visual frames to formulate personalized, actionable PGA drills.
Advanced Biomechanical Metrics & PGA Standards
Our diagnostics assess your coordinates against Tour-average kinetic profiles to build stable, powerful movement sequences:
- ✓ Hip Sway & Slide: Measures lateral displacement of the pelvis. Tour-standard rotation requires maintaining a stable lateral channel of under 2.0 inches, rotating the hips back and deep to prevent energy dispersion.
- ✓ Spine Angle Maintenance (Early Extension): Tracks changes in the forward tilt of the spine from setup to strike. Tour-level ball-striking keeps spinal variance under 3.0 degrees. Resolving posture loss prevents forward pelvis thrust (early extension) and crowding of the arm path.
- ✓ X-Factor Rotation & Torque: Measures the relative angular separation between the shoulder turn and hip coil at the top of the swing. The optimal torque window for maximum speed is 40.0 to 50.0 degrees.
- ✓ PGA Tour Tempo Ratio: Analyzes the temporal duration of your backswing vs. downswing. Achieving a gold-standard 3:1 tempo ratio (e.g., 0.9s backswing to 0.3s downswing) ensures smooth, consistent timing and strike repeatability.
